Leh visit was meeting the local astrologer, who practiced Tibetan astrology. Part of the reading had to do with the number of syllables in your birth name and part on your date of birth. The reading lasted over 2 hours and took place in a local family's house which he was visiting. The entire family look on as the reading progressed. Towards the end he suggested that I ha
ve a priest do a small prayer ceremony for my protection, which was done the next day. The priest presented me with a small paper pendant which included the prayers he made on my behalf and was wrapped in blue thread - the color for protection.
