A team of 18 surgeons, physicians and nurses traveled from New Delhi by train all night to reach the village of Basoli. Another physician joined from Jamnu. Although the surgeons worked 12-14 hour days, only about 15 surgeries could be performed in a day due to having only 3 surgery tables and constant power outages.
